Booking and Reservations

All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation. Samoa Rental Cars reserves the right to substitute vehicles with similar models if the selected vehicle becomes unavailable.

Bookings may require a valid driver’s licence and identification before confirmation.

Rental dates, pickup locations, and return times must be confirmed at the time of booking.

Driver Requirements

All drivers must:

• Hold a valid driver’s licence

• Meet the minimum driver age requirement (typically 21 years or older unless otherwise specified)

• Present identification when collecting the vehicle

International visitors must hold a valid international driver’s permit or a licence accepted under Samoan law.

Rental Period

The rental period begins at the time the vehicle is collected and ends when the vehicle is returned to the agreed location.

Additional charges may apply for:

• Late returns

• Early returns without notice

• Extensions not agreed in advance

If you wish to extend your rental period, please contact Samoa Rental Cars before the scheduled return time.

Vehicle Use

The renter agrees to use the vehicle responsibly and in accordance with all local laws and regulations.

Vehicles must not be used for:

• Illegal activities

• Racing or off-road driving

• Carrying passengers or goods for commercial hire without permission

• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs

The renter is responsible for any fines, penalties, or legal charges incurred during the rental period.

Fuel Policy

Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as when collected.

If the vehicle is returned with less fuel, a refuelling charge may apply.

Damage and Responsibility

The renter is responsible for the vehicle during the rental period.

Any damage, loss, or theft of the vehicle must be reported immediately to Samoa Rental Cars.

The renter may be responsible for repair costs, insurance excess, or other applicable charges depending on the circumstances.

Insurance

All rental vehicles may include basic insurance coverage. However, an excess amount may apply in the event of an accident or damage.

Optional insurance coverage or excess reduction may be available during the booking process.

Bond / Security Deposit

A refundable bond or security deposit may be required when collecting the vehicle.

This bond may be used to cover:

• Vehicle damage

• Late return fees

• Traffic fines

• Additional charges related to the rental

The bond will be returned once the vehicle is inspected and no additional charges apply.

Traffic Offences and Fines

The renter is responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, toll charges, and penalties incurred during the rental period.

Samoa Rental Cars reserves the right to provide renter information to authorities if required.

Breakdown and Emergencies

In the event of a mechanical issue or breakdown, renters must contact Samoa Rental Cars immediately.

Do not attempt repairs without prior authorization.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policies may vary depending on the booking conditions.

Any cancellation requests should be made as early as possible. Cancellation fees may apply depending on the timing of the request.
