Do I need a Temporary Samoan Driver’s Licence?
International visitors may require a Temporary Samoan Driver’s Licence to drive legally in Samoa.
Your rental provider can assist you with arranging a temporary licence when you arrive. Please bring your valid overseas driver’s licence with you and check the requirements of your selected rental provider before travelling.
Can I pick up my rental car at Faleolo International Airport?
Airport pickup and drop-off may be available depending on the rental provider and vehicle you select.
When searching or booking your vehicle, check the available pickup and drop-off locations. Some providers may also offer delivery to hotels and accommodation around Apia and other locations.
Can I take my rental car to Savai‘i?
Many rental vehicles may be taken between Upolu and Savai‘i, but you must check with your rental provider first.
Vehicles travel between the islands by ferry, and vehicle spaces can be limited during busy periods. We recommend planning your ferry travel in advance.
What is included with my rental car?
What is included may vary between rental providers and vehicles.
Before booking, review your selected vehicle’s details carefully, including the rental rate, insurance, security deposit, mileage conditions, pickup and drop-off arrangements and any additional charges.
Is a security deposit required?
A refundable security deposit may be required by your rental provider. The amount and payment method can vary between providers.
Please check the deposit requirements for your selected vehicle before confirming your booking. Your rental provider’s conditions will also explain when and how the deposit is refunded.
How do I pay for my rental car?
Available payment methods will be shown during your booking or provided by the selected rental provider.
Depending on the provider, payment options may include secure online card payment, bank transfer, EFTPOS or payment on arrival. Please review the payment conditions before confirming your reservation.
What happens if I need to cancel or change my booking?
Cancellation, amendment and refund policies may vary between rental providers.
Please review the cancellation conditions for your selected vehicle before completing your booking. If your travel plans change after booking, contact your rental provider as soon as possible.
